Our story

My husband, Larry, and I thought about starting a woodworking business when he began thinking of leaving corporate retail to work for himself. Larry’s interest in woodworking began long before mine. He worked along side his dad doing odd woodworking projects from an early age. As a teenager, he and his dad completed their first large wood project, a pirogue. I, on the other hand, didn’t become interested in woodworking until my mid-thirties.

I inherited my mom’s house after she passed away. The house is from the late 1800’s and needed updating. Larry convinced me we could remodel it ourselves. Thus began my interest in woodworking. We spent the latter part of 2024 planning and organizing our new venture. In the beginning of 2025, after months of preparation and hard work, LAW Woodworks LLC was established.
